About the Designer and her Work

The Spirit of Techno Design is the brainchild of Ms. Saishriya Iyer and was originally created as an online portfolio site.

Ms. Saishriya Iyer is currently pursuing her Master's in Textile Design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and is a Knitwear and Textile Graduate from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai who holds certifications from the London College of Fashion and Kering in 2020 as well as has attended sessions for TERI Changemaker for Climate Action- Embassy of Italy 2021. She has a published paper in Technical Textile Value Chain Magazine on aviation textiles titled, "Flight of the Fiber: Textiles and Textile Composites in Aviation.", and is currently working on a smart/e-textiles  project titled, "Textiles for Migraine as a Disability",

With a background in Science, she aims to pursue higher studies relating to smart, eco-green textiles, medical textiles, and technical textiles. Her strengths and interests include Textile and Print design,weaving structures and technicalities, sportswear- athleisure and ath-luxe wear, research, and documentation.
